Background: After Google Chrome's upgrade to Chrome 91, its previous data transmission protocol, which TronLink Extension used to connect Ledger, was disabled. To make sure TronLink users are still able to connect to Ledger, we chose the Ledger Live app to serve as a more secure "bridge" for connection.
Tips: It is recommended to restart Chrome before the following steps.
Step 1: Install and open Ledger Live for Desktop.
Go to Ledger's website and download Ledger Live. Open the app after the installation is finished.
You don't need to link any device to Ledger Live if no device has been linked.
Step 2: Grant access to Ledger Bridge.
2.1 Open TronLink Extension and click "Connect" to connect to your hardware wallet.
2.2 Click "Open Ledger Live".
2.3 Click "Open" in Ledger Live.
2.4 Select TRON app on your Ledger.
2.5 Tron bridge is successfully opened.
Please make sure TRON App is installed on your Ledger device.
Step 3: Connect.
Reopen TronLink Extension and click "Connect" to connect to your hardware wallet. Now that the "bridge" has been established, the Ledger device can be connected as usual.
Subsequent steps: Subsequent steps are the same as those for the older Chrome. Choose the account that needs to be connected, and then set up the account name to finish the connection.
